BRYN DERWIN 1255 BATTLE SITE REVISTED THEN ON TO SITE OF THE BATTLE OF BRON YR ERW 1075, An Awst 2008 Research Field Trip.

Site of Battle of Bryn Derwin 1255 revisited, see earlier posts.

The maps indicate a foot path here and the ladder over the fence, looks promising but gorse bushes have been drawn together on the other side. So you cross over at your own peril? Do note there are other foot paths in the area, just check them out and that it is ok to use them.

.
The Frontier, turn and look behind and you will see Bryn Derwin, today known as Y Foel, see foto below. The fotos above are taken from the other side of the hill, as I seek out a foot path which is indicated with two others in the area.

OK! I've done the leg work now over to you, re what you can do next, just read earlier posts in this blog. For further information and history, please note the great importance, in respect to events that follow up to the Battle of Mynydd Carn 1081 and then Battle of Grug Mawr 1136. We just got to ensure these important Battle Sites are marked on the ground and on maps plus of course made known by various means, not least in schools.
.
Over to you.
