ROYAL WELSH FUSILIERS MUSEUM CAERNARFON CASTLE.

.
I do not usually put up information on Welsh Regiments of the British Army, but from time to time I do put up information on ''Military History Matters'' of the non - medieval kind. Usually this refers to European Warfare or the American Civil War, in main to inform on Battlefield Preservation and Promotion campaigns. However, I have often visited the British Army Museum in Chelsea and the Imperial War Museum in London, just did not have time to visit the French Military Museum on my recent trip to Paris, but shall return. I of course visited the Arch de Triumph, to see Napoleon's rather OTT glorification of his World Wars, I will get around to posting up photos of this memorial and of French Resistance plaques
sooner or later. Meanwhile back to RWF at Caernarfon Castle, I found it excellent and certainly worthy of a return visit sooner as later. There are a number of British Army Welsh Regiment Museums in Wales, I tried to get their curators interested in a WELSH MILITARY HISTORY SOCIETY similar to the Irish one but to no avail. Unlike the Irish they are only interested in Post 1536 Anglo - Welsh British Military History. I suggest you check out via the web the MILITARY HISTORY SOCIETY of IRELAND. You might also check out books on RWF, there is a good official history and not least the excellent FUSILIER by Mark Urban.
